Employee Commuter Bus
The San Mateo County Employee Commuter Bus provides transportation services to employees during weekday commute hours to the San Mateo Medical Center and the County Government Center. The bus is a pilot program funded for one year by subsidies from the Commute Alternatives Program, the General Fund, and employee contributions.
12/21/16: SMC Commuter will NOT run any routes on Monday, December 26th and Monday January 2nd for the scheduled County holidays. If you are scheduled to work, please note there will be no services.
Please contact email@example.com for any questions.
All San Mateo County employees (including part-time employees, interns, and fellows) are eligible to participate in the SMC Commuter bus program. Contractors and volunteers are not eligible. As the bus is partly funded by the transit subsidy from the Commute Alternatives Program, those who are currently receiving that subsidy for other transit expenses are not eligible to ride the SMC Commuter bus. If you are an employee of the San Mateo Court system, please check with your commute alternatives coordinator for more information regarding your eligibility.
The Employee Commuter Bus will be free to ride through October 31, 2016. Afterwards, the total cost to employees who wish to ride the Commuter Bus is $50 per month for unlimited rides. At the moment, we are not offering weekly passes or daily fares.
During the free period, please present your Employee ID to the bus driver upon boarding.
